The
cradle of ‘cante' flamenco, this town has always been
recknowned for its relatively integrated gitano/gacho
population. Close to the mountains and the beautiful fine-sand
Atlantic beaches, you can make a quick excursion to Arcos, so
high up that you can see the backs of flying birds, or chose
between the beaches of Rota, Chipiona, El Puerto or Sanlucar.
Perfomer,
Tibu 'la Tormenta' (the Tempest), began dancing at the age of
4, and has 30 years of teaching experience. She dances in the
compas of the famous Agujetas family emphasizing how the dance
must adjust to the cante. Classes accompanied by guitar and/or
cante and palmas.
